Audemars Piguet Watches For Men

Audemars Piguet Watches For Women

Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet founded Audemars Piguet in 1875 in LeBrassus, Switzerland; their stated goal was to create the finest watches in the world. From the start, the company specialized in complex watches. In 1889 they produced their first Grande Complication – the gold hunter has a perpetual calendar, a minute repeater, phases of the moon, a power reserve indicator, and a split-second chronograph.

Audemars Piguet introduced the world’s smallest repeater in 1920, and the world’s thinnest pocket watch in 1925. More “firsts” followed in subsequent decades, and each of these was a masterpiece in its field. Some of the company’s best-known watches are the Royal Oak, Jules Audemars, chronograph, Edward Piguet, limited edition Royal Oak Jubilee, Calibre, the Millenary Chronometer, the Roberta line for women, the Perpetual Calendar collection, Royal Oak Tuxedo, the Ultra Thin (including a limited edition of 300 for the 50th anniversary of the Ultra Thin), Grande Complication, the Audemars Piguet Tradition collection, and the Royal Oak Offshore chronograph in honor of the British Navy.
The Audemars Piguet web site offers a great deal of information about the company's timepieces, including a detailed section on complications that is worth seeing.
