Tissot Watches For

Men and Women

The first Tissot wristwatch was produced in 1915, and over the years Tissot has won numerous prizes and decorations received for its innovations such as the first antimagnetic watch in 1930 and the first fully automatic watch in 1944. In 1953 Tissot’s Navigator was another first – the first automatic watch with an international calendar that could display world as well as local time.

As it moved into the electronic age, Tissot developed a new magnetic clutch to facilitate accurate time zone changes and produced the Chrono Quartz multi-function quartz chronograph with both analog and digital display. The Two-Timer was another development.

The Rock Watch has a case made of Swiss granite millions of years old, and no two pieces are the same. The rock-like material includes pyrites, tourmaline, garnet, and topaz that make the watches seem to sparkle under certain lighting conditions. The Jewels of Nature series had faces made of coral, shell, mother-of-pearl, and semi-precious stones. The Woodwatch came next with a carved briar wood case, and later the ceramic Ceraton watch was added. These watches are sought after by collectors.

Other well-known Tissot models include the PR50 Chrono, the PR 100, PR100 Diver, the Ballade Chrono, the Tissot 7, the Seastar, the Navigator, the Visodate Seastar automatic, T-Race, T-Touch, and Ceraten.
